Software Development

Yameveo provides production-grade software engineering for companies that need reliability, security, and scale. We build SaaS platforms, API layers, internal tooling, and data pipelines, covering backend, frontend, and infrastructure. We work in Python and React, on greenfield builds as well as legacy modernisation, and we design systems that last and can grow. As an AI and cybersecurity engineering firm, we build security in from the start instead of bolting it on afterwards.

What kind of software does Yameveo build?

We build SaaS platforms, API layers, internal tooling, and data pipelines, either from scratch or as a modernisation of an existing system. Our team works end to end across backend (Python), frontend (React), and infrastructure. One team owns the architecture, the integration points, and the deployment, instead of handing work off between silos. We work the same way on the VANTAGE EU cybersecurity project, where Yameveo leads WP5 and designs the APIs that connect the platform’s AI, incident-investigation, and vulnerability-assessment modules.

Can you modernise or take over an existing codebase?

Yes. Legacy modernisation is a core part of what we do, from re-platforming an ageing application to splitting a monolith into maintainable services and adding a clean API layer. We start by mapping what the current system actually does and where the risk sits, then modernise step by step so the business keeps running throughout. Because we come from a security background, that first assessment also turns up the vulnerabilities and dependency risks that legacy systems tend to accumulate.

How do you build security into software from the start?

We treat security as an engineering requirement, not a final-stage audit. We review architecture, authentication and identity flows, dependencies, and data handling while the system is being designed and built. This comes from our cybersecurity work: the team that builds your platform also works on automated vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) inside VANTAGE. In regulated industries, secure-by-design practices also help meet obligations under frameworks such as NIS2, the EU AI Act, and the Cyber Resilience Act.

Do you work with our existing team, or only on standalone projects?

We do both. We can deliver a project end to end, or work alongside your engineers to add capacity, own a specific service, or lead on architecture and integration. Our founder, Enrico Aillaud, has spent years as a technical lead with distributed international teams, working on architecture reviews and critical production issues. That is the model we bring to collaborative engagements. You can read more about his background on the Enrico Aillaud profile.

What technology stack do you use?

Our core stack is Python on the backend and React on the frontend, deployed on cloud and container infrastructure. We pick tools that fit the problem and the team that will maintain the system after us, not whatever is fashionable. When a project needs AI features (LLM integration, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic workflows), we build them on the same stack we use in our AI and cybersecurity R&D.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with companies outside Bulgaria?

Yes. Yameveo EOOD is based in Burgas, Bulgaria, and works with clients across Europe. We work remote-first, which is how we already collaborate with the VANTAGE consortium of 13 partners across 8 countries.

What size of company do you typically work with?

We work with companies that need reliability, security, and scale. Usually that means CTOs and technical leaders at European SMEs and at organisations in regulated sectors. We look at project size case by case rather than quoting a fixed threshold.

Can you add AI features to an existing product?

Yes. We integrate LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows into existing applications. We use the same AI stack as in our cybersecurity R&D, so the features are built on production-tested foundations.

Who owns the code you write?

Ownership and IP terms are agreed in the engagement contract. Our default engineering approach is to build systems your own team can maintain after us, with clean architecture and documentation.
